Mrs. Laurel Imuezerua is a Senior Associate with the firm and provides particular support to the firm’s Oil and Gas practice. Her expertise in Oil and Gas Law and Arbitration is underpinned by her experience in advising upstream and downstream oil and gas companies on diverse transactions and disputes. In addition to her practical experience, Laurel has received specialized academic training in petroleum law, policy and business management.
Laurel practiced in Carnice Chamber, Abuja before proceeding for her postgraduate courses in the UK, after which she joined the Firm. Since joining Tsedaqah Attorneys, she has taken on a variety of tasks relating to corporate and commercial law. She was part of the Tsedaqah Attorneys team that advised a Canadian (Toronto Stock Exchange listed) company in relation to the creation of a strategic alliance with a Nigerian partner to prospect for interest in the Nigerian marginal oilfields.
Laurel holds LLM in Petroleum Law and Policy and MBA in Oil and Gas Management from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee, Scotland. She also obtained professional certificates in International Arbitration and Petroleum Licensing. Laurel was called to the Nigerian Bar after undertaking professional training at the Nigerian Law School Abuja. She obtained her law degree from Abia State University.
