Benjamin Ile is a Partner with Tsedaqah Attorneys. Before joining Tsedaqah Attorneys, he was Head of Chambers, Lagos Office, Matrix-Solicitors, a leading international law firm. Prior to that, he had practised in Danjuma Ayeye & Co, Yobe State, Opi, Opia & Associates, Port Harcourt as well as A.P. Egbegi & Co, Bayelsa State.
Mr. Ile obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Rivers State University of Science & technology, Nkpolu, Port Harcourt as well as an LLM in Environmental law & Policy from the University of Newcastle, Newcastle Upon-Tyne, UK. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003.
Mr. Ile is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) as well as the Environmental Law Research Institute. Mr. Ile has wide-ranging practice experience in different areas of legal practice, including the conduct of due diligence and cross-border transactions.
Apart from his mother tongue and the English language, Mr. Ile is fluent in French language, having obtained a certificate from the Alliance Francaise International as far back as January 1997 and is currently the pro-tem president of Newcastle University Alumni, Nigerian branch.
